First, thanks for a wonderful photo gallery program! My first attempt at using php. Installation and setup a breeze. Had my photo album up and running in just over an hour.

I experienced a few problem in setting up albums/categories; I had to reload/refresh to pages constantly to see changes. I use Safari on a G4 TiPB. Could be a specific issue with Safari?

I ended up with a mystery album on the main page. Haven't had the opportunity to figure out what caused it yet. Main page is here: http://www.southsideva.com/photogallery/index.php

I'm using Safari myself and I haven't encountered Safari specific issues. 1.2RC2 is still a little buggy and it's being ironed out daily. I'm pretty sure you don't have to reload to see the changes. Just click apply modifications.

As for your mysterious album, it looks like you have created it yourself  Try going to albums and select it - it's sorta hidden probably with a space char; you should be able to delete it from there.

Could this be a caching issue?  I know we had some complaints about Opera caching issues.  We've repaired the Opera issue in the next release of 1.2.0 but it's not available yet.

The mystery album is now gone. I had an album in NO CATEGORY causing the problem.

As for having to reload/refresh, it's still happening. For example, if I go to index page and log in, when I am returned to the index page the navigation options are unchanged and no administration buttons appear. Must refresh to see the correct view.

I've glanced thru Safari's prefs, but didn't see option on cache, just the Empty Cache option in the Safari menu. Searching Safari's help for CACHE only returned the Empty Cache and Reset Safari options. The Empty Cache option would have to be used constantly to do any good. The Reset Safari option erases other settings as well.

Thanks for the help. Will update if I find a solution.

I've just tested it on your site by signing up: the problem indeed does show up. However I tested it on my site using the same browser and by signing up a test account (yes, 1.2RC2) and the problem does not show up.

I'm guessing it has something to do with your PHP settings - not a browser issue. Funny thing is though, it's only on Safari on your site. IE or Mozilla works fine.

Sorry - not a very conclusive test; but I thought it might help you to let you know.
