Catagory Display

On the main index page, all the photo catgories are displayed in the sequence the dates.  Is there anyway to display them in the sequence of name. By the way, I also want to find if you can display two or more catagories in each row. Thank you.

1) Use "categories" from the admin menu to edit the order of categories. Use the little blue arrwos next to each category to move them up or down in the list. Refer to the documentation for details.
2) You'll have to create a custom theme to enable category display in two columns. Again, refer to the documentation
