Hi there,

I recently upgraded my coppermine gallery from 1.4x to the latest version, following the upgrade instructions carefully.

Everything seems to have gone ok, except no matter what theme I use (I uploaded all the themes that came with the latest version as well) none of the arrows are showing up on the navigation bar above the actual image, nor are they showing up below where visitors can rate the photo (the stars).  The movie strip pattern doesn't show up either.

I doubled checked everything with my host just to make sure I hadn't blocked these images somehow via hotlink protection or other htaccess setting, but they said everything is looking as it should.  All the theme images have been uploaded also.

Depending on what browser you use it depends whether the image is broken or whether it just displays the alternative text, i.e. "Return to the thumbnail page"

Link example.  http://www.billypetersen.com/TheGallery/displayimage.php?pid=3362#top_display_media

This is the first time I've upgraded the gallery so any help on fixing this would be appreciated.   Thank you.

Please upgrade your gallery to cpg1.5.12.

If I try to access the images manually, it returns

Please replace all images with fresh copies.

Thanks Andre, I thought I had unzipped 1.5.12 and installed that one, will redo and retry the images.

Many thanks.

Hi Andre,

I have updated to 1.5.12 (i doubled checked in the version check) and have re-uploaded all the themes.   However, the theme images are still not showing up.    I then downloaded the latest theme available which was curve yellow and again the theme images are not showing up.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks again for your help.

Please replace all images with fresh copies.

It is not your theme folder images with the problems.

It is in the top level folder /images/ that you need to replace the corrupted files.

Thanks Joe, will replace all these too and see what happens.

Thanks for the help.

Checked the images were ok before uploading, reuploaded images in both the top level folder and theme folder, cleared cache, they still aren't showing up.

That may be true for some themes, but not for the hardwired theme. It's the images/navbar/ directory inside the hardwired theme where the navbar images resides for that theme.

I also tested the water_drop theme and it also doesn't work as expected.

It seems that your ftp application transfers PNG files with the wrong mode. Make sure that you upload PNG files in binary mode.

Thanks Andre, I will try re-uploading all the images using firebug on another computer today and double check the settings.
