Unknown php code error

I have been getting an unknown php error message more and more frequently lately.

I have had a look through the forum to see if this has happened before and all I can find is one relating to 1.4.x

It doesn't happen every time,but it is often enough to be a bit more than a pain.

Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.
