I really need help here!  I moved my site onto a new server and wasn't able to transfer my old gallery so I had to start from scratch.  I really do not like this new version of Coppermine because now there is this sorting feature after the album title and after Googling and tutorial after tutorial, I still can't remove it.

So I'm here.  Hoping somebody can help me.

I've tried editing the theme.php but it's blank (it says 'all core elements have been removed').

Thanks in advance!

Never mind.  I figured it out.

In case there's anyone out there who was having the same trouble I was having.  I just went into 'thumbnails.php' and edited it.

I took out this section:

    //show sort options only when not a meta album
    $js_sort_vars = array(
        'aid'           => $album,
        'page'          => $page,
        'sort_name'     => $lang_thumb_view['name'],
        'sort_title'    => $lang_common['title'],
        'sort_date'     => $lang_thumb_view['date'],
        'sort_position' => $lang_thumb_view['position'],
        'sort_ta'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_ta'],
        'sort_td'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_td'],
        'sort_na'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_na'],
        'sort_nd'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_nd'],
        'sort_da'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_da'],
        'sort_dd'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_dd'],
        'sort_pa'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_pa'],
        'sort_pd'       => $lang_thumb_view['sort_pd']
    );

Good luck!

There's a better (more upgrade-friendly) solution. Copy the whole block $template_thumb_view_title_row from themes/sample/theme.php to your theme's theme.php file, if it doesn't exist. Then, use that solution: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,71678.msg347693.html#msg347693

BTW: that sorting feature already existed in cpg1.4.x, so I guess you upgraded from a very old version.
