Auto remove registrant

I get a lot of false (spam) entries as new registrant.  These are pure spam.  The program is set to have an email confirmation sent to the registrant who is given registered user rights when confirmed.  In these cases the email is false and is never confirmed.
Is there any way to have the program automatically delete new registrants if they do not confirm their email within a certain time frame (say 7 days)?   This would save a lot of work sorting through the false applicants!  cpg1.5.12

That's not possible out of the box. But it's quite easy to create a script that performs that task which you run with a cron-job or include it as plugin/mod directly in Coppermine.
