I have replaced the existing pictures with the same pictures of better quality (deleted the old and updated the album with new ones). I would like to keep the count of views for each new picture (be able to set it to the old value) and do not start with zero counter.  Thanks.

To replace existing files you might want to use this plugin: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,60499.0.html

I'm no fan of manipulating data. So that feature probably won't be in a future version. If you need to adjust the counter anyway, you can do this with the database manipulation tool of your choice (e.g. phpMyAdmin).
