Cannot create albums

Since upgrading to 1.5.14 several months ago and now (in desperation) to 1.5.16, I have been unable to create any new albums.  My existing albums do not appear in the manager but I can add images to existing albums.

Any assistance would be appreciated

Please post a link to your gallery and a test user account which has permissions to create albums. I assume that you're using a theme that isn't fully compatible to cpg1.5.x.
