Hide categories

I want to hide certain categories for certain user groups
I don't want category reserved for certain groups appear on the home page for other groups

Is this possible ?

That's not possible out of the box. I created a similar plugin some time ago, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to share it (for free) with the community. Are you ready to pay to get such a plugin?

Alternatively you can set the permissions of the albums inside each category accordingly.

It was a freelance job and the customer don't want to share it for free with the community, as he has paid for it.
