MP3's Album Art as Thumbnail ?

hi. I uploaded a few mp3 files to a test album here.

The mp3 tags do include a pic of the artist and when I play the mp3 on my PC, Vlan media player does show the pic.
Yet on the gallery, the pic in the ID tag does not come up as thumbnail, does not show up when the file is played.

Do I need a plug-in for that?

That's no core feature and I'm not aware that such a plugin or mod already exists.
