hey all, is it possible to make CPG to work like photobucket whereby multiple users can sign up and upon signing up,

  • a new "album" will be created for them,
and they can only
  • create/delete sub-folders in their "album" (account)
  • make the sub-albums (created albums) public or private depending on users' preferences

thanks in advance!

I don't know Photobucket, but it's possible what you're asking for with Coppermine.

Just set the permissions at the group manager accordingly. I suggest to read the docs or just install and try the gallery.

alright, there are some questions still unsure:

  • how do i prevent users from uploading to their root folder (which auto-created upon registration), but allow creating of subfolder?
  • how to i prevent "random images" from appearing on the gallery home page?
[li]also, i've tried uploading but i get the following error: upload failed (with pop-up) but images still get upload when i was checking the album.

10. One question per thread
We have a strict "One question/issue per thread rule", which helps both supporters/moderators to keep track of open/closed issues as well as users who search the board or browse it, looking for answers to their question. Don't try to "hijack" other's threads by posting unrelated questions to an existing thread.

Actually, you disregarded a lot of our board rules. Please respect them in the future.
