I am just new in this but i have a question about the filename.
I want to use the programm to upload people pictures from there travel trips.

Is it also possible to let the system make an unique file name?
So start with 00000000000001 and than 0000000000000002 etc

What if people upload the same file , lets say DSC_1000?

coppermine renames pics that already exist in the same folder, nothing to worry.
