How to upgrade from 1.4.25 to 1.5.24

Thanks for the links.
I can't log in to my administration.  Neither do I receive a message for a new password, although I updated my email address in the phpmyadmin.  Should I first solve this issue?  What do you think?

You can change your admin password as described here (either edit the database manually or use adminpass.php).
