Let start this with I hope this is the right section to post this but I am having an issue with a host and the ftp uploading of files.

I know that your zips are not infected in any way, I also know that my computers are also NOT infected, I have run antivirus programs on all of them and all their hard drives both internal and external

However this is the only host with this issue....I upload the files and invariable some will disappear from the server.

Right now I am trying to upload files that apparently are missing from the bunch that got uploaded last night. install_classic.php and the swfupload.swfobject.js

Upon uploading them the darn thing says that it could not upload them due to the file being ***MALWARE DETECTED***

I have tried uploading them to my own servers and they upload with no problems at all. I have even taken the ones from my own galleries, and downloaded to my computer/uploaded and still get that same idiotic message.

Ideas on what I can do?

What host are you using?  I noticed you were also having similar problems with some of your TP files which kept disappearing, or was this on a different host?

Have you tried uploading the file via the server cPanel / file manager?

same host  : hostingmanager.secureserver.net/

I think they may be affiliated with godaddy

yup there have been times---like this time where I had to go to her filemanager on c-panel to upload the files...and they get uploaded except for one that would not upload at all.

it is real annoying to say the least. They tried all sorts of things and then when I read them the transcript from my macs ftp program called Transmit and it said that bit about malware, they said that was why and that I needed a clean file cause their servers would not allow it.......yet no expaination as to why only a select few files and no malware in the rest of the files.

I personally think they are full of hooey, since we had trouble connecting to their idiotic ftp stuff to begin with.

I am not impressed with them.

Well, I wonder if they have their filters set up the same as godaddy then, https://drupal.org/node/2228539

Does your host allow you to upload the zip distribution file, and unzip on the server?
Not sure if that would bypass their check or if they would find it when you unzip?

I find this the easiest way to get a CPG distribution uploaded.
Thanks!

Never had to do installations that way at all. I think godaddy is the worst for ftp...I have another client with them and so far I have no problems uploading things to her server...however that was before their changes. Hopefully things do not change when they "check" her files, if they do indeed check them but should that be the case I can always move them to one of our servers we have for our members.

It is a good thing but not only annoying but silly that it is so touchy.

They do seem to have had a few problems,  you just have to type godaddy into the search over at simplemachines.org, that'll give you 50 pages of them lol..

Those 2 files aren't urgently required to run a Coppermine gallery. install_classic.php is just needed if the default installer doesn't work for you for some reason. swfupload.swfobject.js is needed for the flash uploader. If you don't need or use that feature, it's fine to omit that file, too.
