Hi, did some searching and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Just installed CPG 1.3 and love it, but the way it's setup I have to click through three pages before getting to the album list view I want. Is there a quick easy way to go directly to album lists without everything else showing up? This site will be for one user only, me, and I don't need or want the random photos, latest uploads etc.

In other words :D how do I make the initial loading page http://www.domain.com/index.php?cat=10001 <-- album list view as opposed to http://www.domain.com/index.php <-- all the other stuff

Thanks. Looking through the index.php page now, but it's beyond my rudimentary skills.

The documentation would tell you how to remove the random/latest upload meta albums. Please see if that will give you the desired result before trying to delve into the code. It would also help to post a real link to demonstrate what you are talking about.

Right, did that on the random/latest.

What you see now is:

What I want to load first, bypassing several pages and straight to album view, is:

http://www.coreaddicts.com/index.php?cat=10001

Thanks for replying!  :)

if you (as coppermine site admin) are the only one who is uploading to your site (and that's the only reason you might want to accomplish what you're requesting), you shouldn't be uploading to user galleries, but create "regular" categories and/or albums in the public gallery section. You should have another look into the documentation.

We have a "one question per thread" policy, please respect this in future postings.

I'm new to using Coppermine and very pleased with it, but it would be more helpful to say which chapter in the documentation than just gruffly say "read the doc's" (paraphrased).

Specifically, where in the documentation do I look to remove the "random photo's" listing on my opening page?  Admin/User Mode?  Category Control Panel?  Album Manager?  Config general settings?  Config album list view?  Config User Settings?  Misc Settings?  The table of contents for the documentation doesn't refer to meta-albums anywhere.  I looked through all the config options on the admin config page and didn't find anything appropriate.

Here's my (new) photo gallery site:  http://www.bikesfortheworld.org/pictures/index.php?cat=0
