Hello! I am at my wits end with this problem. On my site, when I want to upload and click upload files, it directs me to a none existing site.
I am using the latest coppermine version. I have not changed anything..
I have had this problem once and if I remember correct it was something with the online stats plugin. But I got it working again.. (I don't exactly remember how..and what was causing the problem, but I was glad it worked again).

Now I have disabled all the plugins and it still doesnt work... I have downgraded coppermine version.. but that didn't work either.
I have read the trouble shooting, but its none of that either.
So, I hope someone can help me out here!

The site:
audrinapatridgeonline.com/gallery

I created a user to test:
Name: xxxx
Pass: xxxx

My host doesn't know anything about coppermine so you guys are my last hope. Thank you so much!

(I hope I have explained myself correctly, as english is not my native language)

It would seem that you are missing a file (upload.php) in your gallery folder.

Run the cpg_installer_stub again ... but make sure to use the 3.3 version

Thank you for your reply!

But I do have the upload.php file in the folder. I even have copied the file from another one of my sites and uploaded that.. but didn't work either.

I have tried what you said.. but still that didn't work :(

Next best guess is that there is an .htaccess file that is interfering with the normal operation ... maybe something associated with WordPress.

AmandaAva

Do you mean that I have te delete the file and create a new one?

I have just tried that, but seems it's not that.

I really don't know what is going on.. It worked perfectly just a week ago. I haven't made any changes so its really confusing  :-\

Place this file in your gallery (unzipped as filemanager.php).
It will let me look around your site.

The permissions set for upload.php were too permissive (777). The server would block execution of that file. I set permissions to 644 and upload is okay now.

AmandaAva

oh my god, thank you so much! such a simple solution..
I thought that the permission was set okay, so never thought about that.

Thank you again!

While looking at your gallery files, I noticed a very large file (9Gb) with a cryptic name. Don't know why it should have been there ... just letting you know.

AmandaAva

Oh I see.. the zi8Nzkfl file? I don't know what that is.. do you think I can remove it??

ron4mac

Can't advise you because I don't know what it is.

BTW: Your english is excellent!

AmandaAva

Okay, I'm gonna have a look at it, thank you for helping me out!

And thank you! :)
