Change the views

Does anybody know if i can like edit theme.php and add some numbers to the views counter, like:

788(actual conteur whose like 23 views) then on the website it appears: 78823 views

?

This has been asked many times so please do a search on manipulating the views count. There are ways to do it either by adjusting the database or doing some maths as you suggest. Personally I find it a bit pointless but it seems a lot of people want to do it.
