Whenever I try to upload a picture all the pixels mess up and the color is totally off, is this a bug?

no, you probably have GD2 on your server, while you have specified GD1 to be used in coppermine config.

P.S. Any special reason for not posting on the support board, where such a question belongs? Please post what version of coppermine you are using, so we can move this thread to the proper board.
