Coppermine news page fails to load, same for you?

I wanted to update a couple of my older galleries but the coppermine news page doesn't load, it keeps failing, I try again by refreshing the page but it still fails. Is there a problem with it?

Displays message:- coppermine-gallery.net took too long to respond

Before I shut down for the night, I reloaded the page & it immediately told me there was an update.

I checked to see what it was - I was running 1.6.26 and the update was to 1.6.27 - so performed the update & checked to make sure no errors.

So for me, problem sorted now.
