 >:(
After I select the file to upload it works fine.  Says "1 uploads were successful"
I click continue
I select the album
Desc. and tirle.
Note: There is a red x where the pic should be!
When I click continue I get a screen that says "The previous file could not be placed."
The image never shows up in a gallery.

Please help

Mike Kelly ???

Are you using ImageMagick, GD1, or GD2?
What operating system is on the server?
Did you check your file permissions (see the documentation)
Can you use batch upload (see the docs)
Have you modded your Coppermine?

#2
Server OS is Linux
Kernal 2.6.4
Apache Version 1.3.29
MySQL 4.0.20 - Standard

I am not using Imagemagic.
I am hosting this domain and web service from a service provider.
I checked the CHMOD setting and they are 777
I used the windows xp web publisher and it seemed to work fine.  The images did not show up.
Batch add does not give me the option of selecting any files.  It displays "Select Directory" and a description of what it does.  Nothing else.

If you can see no directory to choose from, you probably uploaded to the userpics folder. You mustn't do that (it's in the docs). Re-upload by ftp to any folder(s) you create within the "albums" directory.

I must be stupid ;) I just click browse and select the files locally from my machine.  I don't ftp anything.  Should I?

if you're webhosted then yes, you should upload something before you can use coppermine - it requires a webserver.

Joachim

I am webhosted.   Are you saying I cant upload them trough the way I am doing it now?

Mike

I don't understand what you are saying. Where is the webserver located at? Is it at your home, or is it somewhere in a remote location?

Joachim

I am hosted through ehostpros.com.  It is not at my house.

use your ftp software, create a folder within the albums directory and upload files there. Then run batch-add.
