I know it seems kind of odd for me to be integrating PHP/mySQL photo gallery with an ASP/MSSQL user forum. However, I've never been able to find an easy way to port my old ASP forum to something like PHPBB. That being said, I am wanting to know what I need to do in order to populate the user information using my existing tables?

New user registration should point to my forum registration.
Logins should track from the forum tables.

I suppose I can pass the information using forms.

Any help is appreciated. I'm a decent ASP programmer and have a general understanding of SQL. I'm rather new to PHP, so that will probably be the tricky part for me. (otherwise I wouldn't be asking for help) =D
Thanks in advance. Coppermine rocks. I paid $100 for some other image gallery that used ASP (Xiglia) several months ago and found it to be lacking the control I needed.

Ahh Good news. I just purchased MSSQL-to-mySQL from https://www.regnow.com. The database is being migrated to mySQL. This was always a difficult part (with the MSSQL blob fields). Maybe I can actually port it to another forum now?

porting the snitz forum to a decent php based forum is the way to go, since integrating coppermine with snitz would require you to create a bridge file for snitz (this is basically a php file that instructs coppermine what bbs tables hold the user and groups data). If you don't manage to convert your snitz board, you might want to try to create a bridge file for snitz (might be an "exoctic" setup though).

I've installed SMF and I'm looking into options on how to convert it now. Thank you for the reply.
