Need help with error message after update to 1.3.1

I was able to upload some new photos to my site this morning but I am now getting the following error message:
Destination directory albums/userpics/10001/ is not writable by the script !

How do I fix this problem? I upgraded to Coppermine 1.3.1 but this did not seem to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks......

btw you should have updated to cpg1.3.2, as it's the most recent stable release and fixes some issues that existed in cpg1.3.1
