I need some help from the experts out there!

I have Coppermine and PHPBB2 that I have had up and running for a few weeks. The one thing that bothered me was a login on the Photo Gallery and a seperate login for the forums. After some research I read where you can integrate and bridge them. Sounds good right? When reading the manual I read this line first,

"You will also need to perform the following operations after having unpacked the archive on your harddrive and before uploading the files to your webserver..."

Too late my site is up. If I start to reconfigure this am I going to lose photo albums, forum messages or anything else for that matter?

Also, I read several posts on this forum regarding issues people have had trying to configure this. I am using Coppermine 1.1.1 and PHPBB2 2. Any suggestions or warnings before I start?

Thanks for your help!

1) Upgrade to 1.3.2 !

You can bridge your install at any time, but you will lose all coppermine users and pictures' ownership will be messed up (who owns what). If you don't have users uploading then that's not a problem. There is zero chance of losing anything forum related, the forum is not disturbed during the process. You can reverse the bridge if things go wrong, no damage caused.

Thanks for the quick response.

let me make sure I have this correct. All users who have registered will be history? That will not be retained in my Database?

The user table is still there, but coppermine will ignore it - the forum's users table will always be referenced instead. So if you undo the bridge it will use the old user data again. If a pic is owned by userid 6 in cpg, it will be owned by userid 6 in phpbb - that may not be the same person.
