I'd like to solicit opinions from more experenced video peoplr on this board to recommend the best video format and specs for web delivery over CPG. I have created a number of videos but some of them are quite large (+1 gig). Any suggestions welcomed. TIA

there's no such thing as the ideal video format. All of them have drawbacks. Those that compress best are platform-dependant in most cases.
You will have to figure out the format you use based on your audience, your budget and webspace available.
