Hello
This thread might seem annoying as it has been answered numerous times before. However the solutions didn't work.
My problem: I would like to remove the user galleries from the main page.
I went to the config to the user settings and disabled the option for users to have private albums. Further, I disabled 'Show private album Icon to unlogged user'. And in the group management section, i set 'Can have a personal gallery' to NO.
However, as you can see on http://www.bangkokrecorder.com/fotos/ , the user galleries link is still there...
what might be wrong?

Nibbler

The galleries link will remian there as long as there are user albums inside it. Delete those albums and the category will not display.

Pasci

thanks for the quick reply.
I deleted the entire folder called userpics from the ftp. and also there were never any usergalleries present.

Nibbler

Never delete things directly via FTP, you will cause problems. There is an empty album in your user galleries cat, I can see it from your front page.

Hello Nibbler
This is strange, because I never installed any albums in the user galleries and also when you click on the user galleries' link it says "There are no user galleries". In other words, there is no empty album in the user galleries.

I fixed it!
I had to go to the modifyalb.php and go to 'testalbum', which i think was there by default already. Then I set the view options to 'Me only'.
:) thank you

"testalbum" is not there by default, either you or one of your users obviously must have created it. Anyway, issue solved.
