First of all, SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH ! I am from germany and I am trying my best.....

Since yesterday I am using coppermine as an open gallery for all users. There are 3 categories with 3 albums in each category. Each user has the possibility to upload pictures to this 3 x 3 albums. But the problem is, they are not able to edit the pictures :-(

What do I have to change to allow users to edit/move/delete they'r own pictures? Do I have to setup a new group? With which rights? I didnt find the checkbox for the right to edit pictures...

Thanks in advance and greetings from jena/germany

currently this just isn't possible - once the pics get uploaded to the public galleries, they are owned by the admin.

THANKS for your answer... So I dont have to search for this function  ;)

If there are to many mistakes by the users I will aggrandise some "power-user" to admins....

Joachim Müller

I strongly recommend not making them admins - they will break your coppermine install for sure. Although there is a moderator-mod for cpg1.2.1 I recommend not using it either, since it is buggy.

THANK YOU again to save me from a mistake :-)

Are there any plans to make this functionality available in the near future? Perhaps giving access permission not to the album but to the pictures themselves based on the user name that uploaded it. I have just started using Coppermine and my users seems to have taken to it (much more stable and slick than Gallery) and I love it, but it seems this is a serious omission IMHO.

P.S. Thanks in advance for your reply.

please search the board before reading, this has been discussed already.

Then where is the answer to the last question? Can you provide a link to that topic?

Joachim Müller

not by heart, I would have to search as well. That's why I advised you to search. Come on, don't be lazy, I won't do your work...
