I'm running Coppermine 1.2.1 on my site.  I've just installed it in the last few days, and it's been going GREAT so far.

All of a sudden today, I log in to upload a few more pictures, when I find that I no longer have admin access.  If I click on the "Admin mode" link, it says: "entering admin mode" then takes me back to normal user mode.

This is the main admin account (I haven't created any other accounts yet).  Also, if I go to upload a picture, it says: "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload pictures "

any ideas?

EDIT: Having chequed the database, that username is still set to usergroup 1 and the usergroup 1 is the administrator level, so it does not appear to be a database error.

Could it be something to do with cookies ? (hhmmmm, must be lunch time.)

w00t !

I just answered my own question, looking through the login.php script I found some interesting cookie code, so I just deleted all my internet cookies, and it's fixed!!!

Go coppermine, you rock !!! Fixed my problems good  ;D

BTW, big up to you guys, this software is awesome  :)

Ok, since you guys fixed my last problem so quickly, here's another one:

In order to batch add files to albums, I have to set the permissions in the ftp so that all users can write to the folders,  now while I can do it for the batch add, then change it back again once it's been done, that really doesn't seem like the best way of doing it.

Is there a way of setting it so that I don't have to make give write permissions to all users in order to do batch adds to albums ?

only the admin can batch-add pics, for a good and valid reason: you mustdn't give others ftp access to a folder within your webroot, your page could (and will) be easily hacked. This has been asked before, please search the board for details.

P.S. You wrote you only installed some days ago. Any special reason for not using the most recent stable version cpg 1.3.2 then, that has multiple http uploads? Using the outdated cpg1.2.1 is not recommended any longer, especially not for fresh installs.
P.P.S. We have a "one question per thread" policy on this board

cheers, I'll do a bit of searching.  as for the latest version of the board, version 1.2.1 was what my web host installed for me... I've since upgraded it.
