Showing Album description text on the thumbnail page?

I would like to change the place where the album description is shown.  I do not want this to show in the album index list (easy to remove), but I DO want to show it above or below the thumbnails inside the actual album.

This is very important for my purpose, the album description text is quite long and should really show with the actual pictures, not in the album list.

I've found the {ALB_DESC} tag in the theme.php file, however it doesn't seem to work at the thumbnail.php page level, is that possible?  {ALBUM_TITLE} works fine, but not {ALB_DESC}

Does this mean it's not possible to include the album description on the thumbnail page??

Currently I'm trying to work around the problem by putting all the text in the picture descriptions, but it doesn't look very nice.  The site I'm doing is here: http://netasia.org/album/thumbnails.php?album=6   Ideally I would like to have all that text in just one area above or below the thumbnails, and just have the short filename with the thumbnails.   Basically like Fotopage.com does, like at my old site, for example: http://chanchao.fotopages.com/?entry=148622.  (Note that I don't need the blog-like diary-format of course, I'm planning basically one album for one entry, consisting of a rather long "album description" text, together with 4-10 pictures for each entry (album). )

What version of coppermine are you using, and is there any special reason for not posting your question on the proper support board?

The reason would be that I'm not aware of the location of the proper support board; in fact I didn't even know this was an improper one? :)

Seriously, I'm sorry if I posted this on the wrong forum;  I thought all the CPG 1.x forums were for paying customers?  I couldn't make a post there after registering, so I posted my question here.  Perhaps I didn't reload that page after registering; I'm able to post there now.

Cheers,

merged your two support requests. Obviously you were able to post on the support board, so you already found ou the answer is "no, the support board is not restricted to paying customers" - we don't have any paying customers at all, we're doing this for free.
Posting your coppermine version would have been enough though, I would have moved the question to the proper board.
