there are several web gallery softwares, but you can't expect a coppermine dev to actually recommend another app. After all it depends on what you need in a gallery. There are applications that have less features, but will work on servers with less performance. However, there are coppermine galleries hosted on free.fr, so I guess you somehow messed up. Search the board (as suggested). If you want your gallery to run flawlessly, you should consider actually paying for webhosting: with free webhosting you get what you paid for imo.
