I have just enabled member galleries and tested it which at first all seemed fine.
But then if I logout and try and access the member galleries I get
"Critical error"
"There was an error while processing a database query"
the site is www.southwest50s.co.uk (http://www.southwest50s.co.uk)
To login the gallery you have to login the message board
username: test
password: test
any ideas?
James
Enable debug mode and post the actual mysql error message.
:o 2 problems in one day woohoo.
Heres the second problem. if you goto www.southwest50s.co.uk/gallery the videos bit isnt right. now whys that?
Thanks
James
oh yea if im logged in its fine ???
The videos are surposed to be for the members group only. So they shouldnt be there at all for non mbrs. Thats another thing I cant find the box in the albums to set pemissions. ??? ???
do as suggested and post the error message, not the debug output.
Joachim
The gallery is probably reacting to the colour scheme. Warning, sunglasses required. ;D
Seriously, please do as asked, and provide the actual error message, and a description of what failed when.
I second Casper's suggestion regarding the color. :)
Well I have been changing stuff around and the second problem has now gone. ???
The first problem was when I enabled user galleries the public/unlogged user get this.
Critical error
There was an error while processing a database query.
While executing query "SELECT count(*) FROM sw50gallery_albums as a WHERE category = '1' and AND a.aid NOT IN (2,4,8) " on 0
mySQL error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND a.aid NOT IN (2,4,8)' at line 1

Sorry to a pain guys but i have some other problem like if I select gallery in offline mode and click continue it doesnt go in offline mode, also the picture rotate and resize doesnt work.
If turn debug on and get the error messages will that help?
Thanks guys
James(Another dum-ass newbie)
Did you log out of the gallery as admin? You need to log out to test offline mode.
One question per thread, please.
P.S. If you want people to view your site, let alone help you with it, please do not use such a bright red. :-\\ It hurts our eyes and the first instinct is to close the window. I don't want to be mean, but that color really is difficult to look at when there's so much of it.
Upgrade to 1.3.2 might help, always a good idea to run the latest stable version.
