Title: minimum number of files
Post by: BrianS on October 09, 2004, 02:50:03 PM
I am setting up CPG 1.3 in a secure intranet environment -- I've been tasked to determine the minimum set of files to leave on our server for as thin a CPG 1.3 installation as is allowed without compromising the functionality of CPG but which eliminates those files that are most rarely used. Does such a list exist?

Thanx

Nope.  The files that are in there are the files required to run Coppermine with all functionality.  We've never set down and tried to make a slim version.  You could always do an install in a test environment and see what you need and what you can live without.  Once you do that, we can try to help you out with files you can safely delete and links you can remove.  Not an easy process, but one that is possible.

There are no security issues with Coppermine (that we know of, anyway) so there shouldn't be any issues that you will have to address in that aspect.

Check out the question in FAQ (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#minimumInstall).

Sorry, should've said that in my original post.  I was thinking solely of the main program files that could be done away with, like the resize stuff.  Thanks, Tranz.
