I will try to use the gallery in my company but we have so much categorys and pictures, that the little thumbnails on the mainpage are to confused. Is there a way to shut down the thumbnails on the mainpage?
Please do not double-post. The difference between the two posts seems to just be the title. If you want to edit something, click on the Modify button on the top right corner of your post. I am removing your first post.
Thank you.
in coppermine config, set " Show first level album thumbnails in categories" to "No".

What if I want one particular category to have album thumbnails but none of the others?? Is there a way to do that?
Thanks
EDIT: whoops i'm using 1.3 but this question is still applicable
all albums have album thumbnails, I don't understand your question.
Joachim
Sorry I'll try and explain better.
At the moment all the categories have heaps of album thumbnails showing. I want to be able to make only the album thumbnails of one category show on the main page, with the other categories just being a link to the category page (like the user galleries). Then I can show album thumbnails for the most popular category and not the othr categories, reducing clutter on the main page.
Hope thats makes sense.
are you talking about album thumbnails or category thumbnails? What you're requesting as already possible for category thumbnails. I won't be able to tell you anything more if you don't use the terminology used in coppermine properly (category vs album vs actual image).
Joachim
I've reread what I wrote and i'm pretty sure the wording is correct.
I think what I want is summarised in this line:
"I want to be able to make only the album thumbnails of one category show on the main page"
If it can be done could you tell me how cos I don't seem to be able to do it using any of the options on the configuration page.
Thanks
I understand what you want, 1 category to show the album thumbnails on the index page, but all other categories to not show the album thumbnails.
This is not possible out of the box, and as far as I know, has never been hacked.
Yeah thats right Casper.
If it were to be hacked, I'd probably add a check box in the edit categories section. A tip for anyone that wants to do it ;)
I don't know php sorry but I'm gonna learn in 2 weeks time.
