Title: Batch upload problem
Post by: Valiant on October 22, 2004, 05:52:20 AM
I've just deleted a friends cpg 1.2 and reinstalled the lastest version and bridged it with phpbb 2.06, I re-uploaded all the files into their own folders; each 777ed to the albums folder (777) . Each image is around a 2mb jpg and there are around 30 in each folder. When I go to batch upload I get the following notice:

Notice: Undefined variable: fullimagesize in /var/html/mart/nonstoplove.co.uk/_html/gallery/searchnew.php on line 136 etc

I don't understand, I've read through the entire forum and basically if the exact same files were batched by cpg 1.2 without probs then why does 1.3 have problems? Nothing with the physical server or database has changed. I cleared the db before reinstalling, even gotton rid of the spaces in the file names etc. The config file seems to set up correstly with max file size etc all allowing for much bigger files than the actual images.

Php4, mysql 3.23.49, debian linux, Image Magick

The debug info is:

We have other sites running CPG with Image Magick on the same server and all works fine except for this.

I just changed it to use GD instead of Image Magick and it works!
Maybe IM isn't as good at handling really big photos?

you shouldn't add too many pics at once when using ImageMagick, as every pic is being resized in a separate process at once.
To prevent the notce from displaying, disable notices in coppermine config (underneath the debug mode settings). Notices are only meant for experienced users who know what the output actually means.
You wouldn't have had to delete cpg1.2 and re-install cpg1.3.x, as there's an update instruction that will keep you from rebuilding your gallery, I suggest you read the documentation first next time you upgrade.

I did read the documentation and after I upgraded the it completely messed up and we couldn't find a solution, so the guy who owns the gallery just said to do a clean install cos he could order the galleries and albums better from scratch.

For some reason Image Magick isn't working at all with any files over 1mb. Even if it is just the one.
