Title: User file upload - "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed .."
Post by: ds on November 18, 2004, 09:19:06 PM
Hi there,

I have chagned the access rights of my gallery so all users apart from guests are able to create a personal gallery. However, when a registered user tries to upload a pic this msg occurs:

"Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files"

Do i need to create the folders using ftp in the albums >> userpics folder??

Please feel free to try it here:

www.newcastlebeats.com/curves/album/

and click on gallery

Many thanks in advance

ds

Your theme seems to be missing a link to albmgr.php which is required for users to create their personal albums. You are advised to retain the classic theme on your server to aid in troubleshooting.

The users have to create their own albums in the usergalleries category.  They get 3 admin buttons when they go into admin mode, to administer their own albums and pics.

Of course, for further info on this, and there is a lot, a search of these boards for 'there is no album where you are allowed to upload files' would have quickly answered your question.  A read of the docs helps as well.

And please post full url to your gallery when asking for support, so users don't have to waste time working out your navigation.

a link won't help as long as you don't set up a test user account (non-admin) with upload privileges.
Did you read the documentation?
