I downloaded a theme and the download didnt go right so i ended up with this:
Warning: main(themes/default/theme.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/meygan.freelinuxhost.com/coppermine/include/init.inc.php on line 333
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'themes/default/theme.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/meygan.freelinuxhost.com/coppermine/include/init.inc.php on line 333
is there any way I could edit it so I can go back to the old theme without losing all my pictures and re-installing?
The themes are completely separate from the pictures and the database containing the data about the pictures. Do you have the default theme which is called classic. I'm not sure why there is a reference to default. What version are you running? A link would help.
Thanks for replying on im 1.3.0. My friends coppermine which im helping her with is

Maybe that version still used 'default'... before my time. :) Have you tried re-uploading the default theme folder to the themes folder?
just add theme=classic to your url, then go to coppermine config and switch to "classic" as standard (default) theme. Upgrade to cpg1.3.2!

I tried that, it looks like jamar190 has not uploaded the themes. No theme seems to work.
@ jamar190, please check which version you are using, as 'default theme' only exists in versions prior to 1.3.
Also, make sure your themes folder contains at least the classic theme(default if older version).
I suggest the easiest thing for you to do is to get the latest version, 1.3.2 from the download section, and upgrade.
Classic theme is there but not readable. Check the permissions.
where exactly do i add theme=classic ? to what url?
also i dont know how to upgrade, can someone tell me the steps?
Upgrading is very easy. Just download the file from the downloads section, unzip it, then follow the instructions in the docs folder index.html.
Make sure you replace all the files on the server, except the albums folder, and the config.inc.php file and the install.lock file, both of which are in the include folder.
k thanks where do i put themes=classic
http://meygan.freelinuxhost.com/coppermine/?theme=classic , but this will only help if your classic theme is readable and working. Apparently, it is not, you have messed with your coppermine install and should do what was suggested: upgrade asap. My suggestion alone won't help, that's why none of the devs answered your question on where to add the var to the url. Insisting by asking repeatedly the same thing is annoying, we can "hear" you well, there's no point in "shouting" at us.
Joachim
ok, ill upgrade right away. and i dont know why you take such offense to peoples questions. i read over my replies and there wasn't anytime I was "shouting". You understand this program like the back of your hand, but im a novice and sometimes people need things explained more then once. thanks so much for your help.
