Can I just make a link instead of uploading a file ???  sometimes  it is almost 600 mb for a video file!!!!!

by the way,  how do you know which version GD2.X you are using !! Can I update the new version (GD)??? and how???

One way of doing that is by using the MiniCMS mentioned in http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=10727.0

That way you can add your own page with links to big files.

We have a one question per thread policy that you agreed to when you signed up.  Please respect it.

Your first question:  Coppermine does not support hotlinking and it never will.

Your second question:  You can enable debug output and look at the information, or you can ask your host, or you can write a php script ( <?php phpinfo(); ?> ) and read it's output.  We don't provide server support, you need to read the instructions that come with AppServ and/or visit their site and ask questions over there.

reading the FAQ (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php) might help as well...
