Title: Transferring Coppermine to a new PostNuke installation
Post by: FredNuker on December 21, 2004, 03:34:47 AM
Guys,

this question has been probably answered on this forum more than once... Bear with me.

I've just installed PostNuke and want to intergrate pnCPG with it. There's a problem, though: Some time before I've installed standalone Coppermine and set up about 200 pics on it before installing PostNuke.

My question: do I have to repost all of those pictures on pnCPG and remove the "old" Coppermine's databases and files, or can I somehow salvage this stuff and integrate it with the new PostNuke installation without all this hassle?

Thank you for any feedback!

No, do not worry. pnCPG does not modify Coppermine files.
Just leave Coppermine where it is and install pnCPG within Postnuke (follow the instructions).

Cas,

thank you for the feedback.

From what you're saying it seems that everything will be OK if I leave the "old" Coppermine installation where it is, and simply install pnCPG. Are you suggesting leaving the "old" Coppermine, though?

What if I deleted it? :)

The reason I'm asking is because I'm not sure whether the two coppermines (sic!) would be... Somehow connected? :)

You can leave the old coppermine, really should be no problem at all.
