Hey..
I have the config. allowing everyone to post comments.. but yet in some albums it shows the comment box under the picture and in others i doesn't...
Any ideas why? Is there any other thing i can do in a particular album to allow comments?
Any help would be great..
Happy New Year!!
Check each album's permissions (click properties next to the album name)
It has a "1" under allow comment section and an empty line where i can write something in.. is there something i can write in to let em know.. hey i wanna allow this one?
Where do you see the '1'? Did you go to Album Properties? It should look something like this (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#album_prop). If not, you probably have a custom installation, and you would need to contact the party that customized it.
it looks like that.. accept.... on the bottom options it doesn't give "yes" or "no" it just leaves a line where i can write things in... can that be a bug?
how can i like take a picture of the screen so i can show you what it looks like?

Here is my options under property.. is it a bug? or is there something that i should write in to allow the comments?

Your copy looks like this other person in this thread (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=13072.0). It turned out that they didn't get the installation from here, but through their host, which was the one that mucked things up. You either need to ask your host for help since we don't know what they (or their vendor) did, or reinstall with a copy from this site (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658).
I use globat.com hosting.. they are a bunch of bone heads.. but it's very cheap.. like $56 a year for 2.5 gig of storage.. know a better host? anyway.. I had this prob. so they said they will fix it.. all they did was reset and reinstall the whole thing losing all my data and i still have the same prob.. it seems like their tech support does more harm than good.. is there a way i can just fix it without them?
That's a bummer. :(
Yes, you should do what the other person was told to do... delete all coppermine files provided by the host and reinstall with the files from our site. Make sure to back up files and database before deletion just in case.
I got the link of what to download.. is there a link somewhere on instructions for webdummies on how to install the script etc...?
Try the Tutorials (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/tutorial/) :)
