Title: installed using cp
Post by: DJ Smak on January 04, 2005, 03:58:11 AM
I used my cp to install coppermine automatically. I tired doing it with the empty box but it says the fle names are already in use.

I have a phpbb forum v. 2.0.11 . I want to integrate the coppermine onto my forum.T he way i installed coppermine it is its own directory site different from my actual forum. The only way i could install it was making a directory called photos. So now I have my site ie www.xxxxx.ca and teh coppermine site www.xxxxx.ca/photos

This is teh first time i used the cp to install something and appolagise for this question, but I don't know if anyone else has installed coppermine using cp

You will have to follow the instructions in the documentation, link at top of this page.

It's possible, but chances are if you used cpanel(?) to install cpg and phpbb, they are installed in separate databases. You would need to have the tables of each databases in the same database. http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#integrating

You can export tables from one database and import into another.

cp autoinstalls are pretty brainless and that means you can't do much complicated things beyond what it has done. If you want to modify things, you have to do it manually.

The bridge files are in the bridge directory, where you installed coppermine to.

you shouldn't use the fantastico package, it's buggy and known to cause errors (if differs from the package we provide) - at least version cpg1.2.x from fantastico s**ks.

Ok im going to try to upload it using ftp rather than fantastico. Which directory am i uploadibng to in phpbb? Public_html? If so there are conflicting file names that are already used in the install of the phpbb.

Install coppermine into it's own folder inside public_html, definitely not in with phpbb.
