.
You need to get the right info from your host - nothing we can do to help you there.
but these are the info that lycos gives.....
Did you enter a password? The error message said a password wasn't used.
Yes I did... first I tried with the regestration pass.
after that I tried the FTP pass. And inte end I tried without pass. and it did not go well....
The database password could be different from registration or ftp password. You need to ask your webhost what it is.
How can I ask him? It is a free site...
can you help me???!!!!
http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/support/faq/list/php4u/10/
but these are the same parameters that I tried....
In which case - you get what you pay for. There is a thread on the boards about free webhosts that work with coppermine, try one of those.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN (of Those)???????!!!!!!!!!
Could you please specify which part you don't understand?
aargh ::)
No One Can Help Me???!!!
I did what I should do but it did not work....
Yes... I did it.. to all who have the same pronlem, you should also, after uploading the files, you should activate PHP4U
by going to http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/build/php4u/
Why dont u try it on another free web host.
http://www.dotgeek.org is one of the free web host on which cpg runs absolutely fine. Also there wont be any advertisements on your website if u host it on dotgeek.org You will find that dotgeek is far better than lycos.
I have one working installation of cpg at http://abbasali.dotgeek.org/cpg/
for DB password on lycos merely enter "one space" for the password where scripts designed by simpletons "require" a password. Most free hosts have no password set for the DB username. You'd think scripts would allow for this... with at least a check box acknoledging a null password.
oh well
good luck and God bless
;D
Coppermine works fine if you have no password, just leave the box empty.
