i did not upload config.inc.php and anycontent.php as said on the readme
i run update.php, it says coppermine ready to roll, let's continue!
and then it says:
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to phpBB Board database !
MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
help me!!!
Did you have some sort of bridge file enabled before you upgraded?
yes, but not enabled, i had the bridge for smf (smf.inc.php) in the bridge directory, but on the init.inc.php file in include directory i had the define for phpbb enabled (the others were commented out)
In init.inc.php, you uncommented the phpbb define statement, saved it, uploaded all the new files, and then tried to do the upgrade?
no, i added the line for smf, i saw it wasn't working, so i went back to the phpbb configuration, everything worked fine so i tried the upgrade
If you uncommented out a bridge line before upgrading that could very well be the cause of your problems. Comment the line again and see if you get any error messages.
You may need to run the update script again.
should i comment out every bridge line in that file? that sounds strange, i left it as I found it before installing smf so i don't see the problem..

Download a fresh copy of 1.3.2. Extract it to your hard drive. Do not modify any files. Upload everything except those files/directories as stated in the instructions. Run the updater. Verify your gallery is running correctly. Follow the instructions to set up your bridge file (and for phpBB, you need to create a new file).
