Title: PHP Version 4 or 5?
Post by: n704fn on January 13, 2005, 03:00:37 AM
I'm rebuilding my server and wondering if I should use PHP 5.0.3 instead of 4.3.10.  I can't seem to figure out the difference and was hoping someone could shed some light on it for me.

Thanks

Are you asking whether coppermine runs on PHP4 or PHP5?

If you are asking a general question to choose between PHP4 & PHP5 and in no way it is related to coppermine, then i guess this is the wrong place to ask dear.

coppermine runs with both versions. If you decide to use PHP5, you have to enable "register_long_arrays" in php.ini, that's all. If you're not using a package, but building your own, remember to complie it with the required modules (GD with jpeg support at least).
