Title: CPG 1.3.2 / SMF 1 rc2 bridge works fine in IE, but not in firefox
Post by: Casper on January 21, 2005, 12:08:20 PM
Has anyone any workaround for this.  This is not my install, so I cannot upgrade the smf to the latest, although I have requested they do asap.

The problem is as in the title, the bridge is working fine when browsing in IE, but firefox cannot read the cookies, and therefor it is impossible to login to CPG using firefox.  This affects all firefox users, so is not computer or user specific.

Works for me.

In Firefox????   Oh, well thanks for that Nibbler.  It must have something to do with the browser settings then, but neither the site admin, several of their users nor myself could get this to work.

Found it, was missing the bleedin obvious.

The bridge works with firefox when the url used is as above, but not when 'www' is in the url.  And the gallery button in the forum has the 'www' as the url.

Strange though that IE works either way, Firefox does not.

No, not strange.  Just another one of those pesky "standards" that Microsoft doesn't choose to play by.  ;D
