Ich have set yabbse.inc.php on the right Setting.php path but I go on the site in www this error comes:
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to YaBB SE Board database !
MySQL said: Access denied for user: '***@srv7.b-one.nu' (Using password: YES)
What can I do or make I something wrong?
Benny,
post the actual path you have set it to.
GauGau
I will first test another thing. If it won't works after that, I will write here.
I have found in the Readme what I must do when I must do the same thing as by a phpbb integration. But I will mention, in init.inc.php is
"// define('UDB_INTEGRATION', 'yabbse');"
but that must add in the readme. Now, there's just write
"// define('UDB_INTEGRATION', 'phpbb');
// define('UDB_INTEGRATION', 'invisionboard');
// define('UDB_INTEGRATION', 'vbulletin');"
and
"// define('UDB_INTEGRATION', 'yabbse');"
is missing.
I thing that this must be correct, GauGau.
This has already been fixed in the cvs (both stable and dev), but in the public release there's still no documentation for yabbse (will hopefully be there in the final); thanks for your remark.
GauGau
I've found a problem with the YabbSE Integration. When i'm in YabbSE loged in and I go to Coppermine, I'm loged in, but when I will log out in Coppermine, a page from YabbSE comes where is write:
"Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten!
Session Check fehlgeschlagen. Bitte versuchen Sie es noch einmal."
I thing you must become the same when you test it, GauGau.
Please search the board before posting: this is a well known issue!
When posting here, please post completely in English (switch YaBB SE temporarily to english to get the error message in english as well).
Don't refer to separate issues in one thread.
In other words: I appreciate your willingness to help, but please make sure you have really new issues to report and also make sure to use some common sense (read&search before posting).

I've setted up the integration between CPG 1.2 & YaBB SE.
When I'm trying to login from CPG I'm beeing redirected to the YaBB SE login.
I login there, but when I go to CPG I'm not recognized.
Cookies are enabled. I haven't installed any mod, and I'm using the file from the original package..
Any thoughts?
make sure you don't use the same cookie names for yabbse and coppermine!
GauGau
I've changed the cookie name, but I'm not recognized :( :cry:
delete all cookies from your domain on your hard drive and try again.
Use force-refresh ([Ctrl]+[F5]).
GauGau
Same stuff :cry:
I'm not being recognized.
btw I'm using not YaBBSE, but PFaBB .
I don't know what to do :?: :roll: .
I can PM you the required urls if needed...
I won't support "secret" pages, so please don't pm me the links; post them or ask somebody else for support.

Actually they aren't secret - I don't want to unveil to gallery to my members right now, because it will be a surprise. Here are the links:
YSE (http://lnx.pocketpcrussia.com/amg/?action=login)
Gallery (http://lnx.pocketpcrussia.com/gal)
I will be grateful if you can take a look there (both are in english) ;)

please provide a test account as well.
I noticed that you're using an enormous amount of third party cookies - so my guess is this is cookie-related...

I have a problem with the yabbse integration :(
when i call the CPG homepage this error is written back:
Notice: Undefined variable: cookiename in c:\htdocs\gallery\bridge\yabbse.inc.php on line 44
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: database_error() in c:\htdocs\gallery\bridge\yabbse.inc.php on line 74
CPGallery 1.2
YabbSE 1.4.1 (re-edited from Yabb Italian team as YabbI 1.1)
Apache, PHP and MySql Running on my PC (for the moment)
Thank you all!!!
The bridge file is confirmed to work with YaBB SE 1.5.x. As I don't run yabbse1.4.x anymore (and neither the modifications Yabbsi did) I simply can't tell you what went wrong. Dig into the code of the bridge file and modify it to your needs.
GauGau
P.S. You shouldn't run a webserver on your pc. Really, I know what I'm saying: don't, for your own sake!
i have already edited some lines of the bridge file :(
but i don't know what is "cookiename" in yabbi 'cause i have "cookieusername" and "cookiepsw" :(
And the error system seems to be different too :(
I'll try to comment every line that got me an error ;)
GauGau, have you tried to login with the information posted above?
I have tried to login and failed. What exactly are your cookie names?
My guess is that the brdige file simple doesn't work with PfaBB (as it has been built for yabbse only)
GauGau
PfaBB: amg
Gallery: ppcrgallery
I've got an idea: if I install a clean copy of YSE separately and configure it to use the pfabb DB and the bridge will the login from it work? :?:
QuoteMy guess is that the brdige file simple doesn't work with PfaBB (as it has been built for yabbse only)
I have the same problem like cerberus, but with yabbse 1.54.

Can't guarantee that, but worth a try imo.
@nordew: please specify a test account!
GauGau
I'll surely try, but which YSE version would you recommend?
And has anybody managed to make the bridge working?
I'm running YaBB SE 1.5.4, works fine for me.
GauGau

@nordew: seems to me like you're running Spiff's coppermine1.0 integration hack into yabbse as well. I think this is what causes the problems. As I don't run this mod it's hard to say what's going wrong.
Take a look at the cookie names you're using with your gallery and coppermine: they must be different (at least this is a thing to start with).
GauGau
i'm still working on the CPG <-> YaBBi integration :(
Now i'm blocked on this error:
Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in c:\htdocs\forum\Sources\Load.php on line 143
Line 143@load.php is
if (mysql_num_rows($request) != 0)
part of LoadUserSettings(), a native function of YaBB that is working fine in the forum
function LoadUserSettings () {
global $username,$settings,$password,$action,$realname,$realemail,$yySetCookies,$pwseed,$HTTP_COOKIE_VARS;
global $cookieusername,$cookiepassword,$pwseed,$ID_MEMBER,$realNames,$db_prefix;
/* Only load this stuff if the username isn't Guest */
if($username != 'Guest')
{
$request = mysql_query("SELECT passwd,realName,emailAddress,websiteTitle,websiteUrl,signature,posts,memberGroup,ICQ,AIM,YIM,gender,personalText,avatar,dateRegistered,location,birthdate,timeFormat,timeOffset,hideEmail,ID_MEMBER,memberName,MSN,visualAdmin FROM {$db_prefix}members WHERE memberName='$username' LIMIT 1");
/* If we found the user... */
if (mysql_num_rows($request) != 0)
{
/* Initialize the settings array */
$settings = mysql_fetch_row($request);
.....................................
If i use a pair of echo() i notice that $username is loaded correctly
Where is the problem?? :?: :?: :?: :( :( :(
Thanks for help
I noticed there was another thread on this stating to change cookies, delete from PC, refresh, etc.
I have done this but Coppermine does not recognize the login.
I have the latest versions of Coppermine and Yabbse. I installed Coppermine today and integrated with Yabbse.
When I click on login, Coppermine takes me to the Yabbse login window. I login and then pull up coppermine/index.php. However, it shows as nobody has logged in (even thought I am logged in in Yabbse). I have tried coppermine/admin.php and it says not authorized, even though I login with an admin account.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
The url of my Yabbse board is http://masteryofawareness.com/board/
I created a test account:
user: test
password: test
Thanks!
make sure you have different cookie names for yabbse and coppermine!
GauGau
P.S. I moved your posting to the yabbse thread, as they're closely related
Thanks for your reply.
I went into the database and changed the cookie name for Coppermine but the logins still aren't recognized between the scripts.
I deleted cookies on harddrive and refreshed, and, tried accessing on another computer but still no go.
Coppermine looks like it would be a great addition and I would love to integrate it.
Thanks
please provide a link (best in your profile).
GauGau
does that work same with YabbSE?

@Cheffu: why don't you start reading the threads that deal with YaBB SE integration? The most recent yabbse bridge works fine out of the box (at least for me).

Sorry but I'm not familair with YabbSE and therefore I can only join Gaugau's recommendation.

Hi
I have found in the YabbSE Board e Bridge file that sovle the problem with the logout. YOu can download it on http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?thread=24525/30. The post is circa at the middle of the page.
The logout works fine, but the problem is, when you go than back in Coppermine, you are logged in as guest. I don't know a solution for that problem, but perhabs every body else can solve that problem.
Cheffu,
As I've mentioned before, I am not familiar with YabbSE at all, so as much as I'd like to help I simply can't.
If you don't find any helpful information in the forums, then I suggest you start a new topic in the support forum (CPG 1.2.0 Standalone Support). Describe your problem exactly and provide all the details such as CPG and YabbSE versions, in which directories you have them installed, etc.
I'm sure that if you provide all the information, then someone will be able to help. However this topic here is about integration with phpBB, no matter how hard you'll try, nobody will notice your problem here.
Good luck,
Eyal.

try the most recent yabbse deb bridge file from the web cvs: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/coppermine/devel/bridge/phpbb.inc.php (remember to backup your existing yabbse ridge file first).
GauGau
Will there be an SMF bridge?
this has been asked before, the answer is: yes, we're trying to provide a bridge file for SMF.
GauGau
Trying to bridge YabbSE 1.5.4 with Coppermine 1.2.1
I get this error with first running of coppermine after following bridge instructions and fresh install of coppermine:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: database_error() in /home/tlveik/public_html/veik/cpg/bridge/yabbse.inc.php on line 74
Function database_error() is defined in errors.php but errors.php is never included as far as I can find. Did I miss something?
make sure to provide the correct settings for your yabbse databsse settings inside the bridge file and the error should go away.
GauGau
Only three lines have anything to do with whether a function is defined or not and they are all correct.
require_once("../yabbse/Settings.php");
require_once("$sourcedir/Load.php");
require_once("$sourcedir/Security.php");
You are quite right .. database_error is not included. I'll get a new YaBB SE bridge done with a replacement for this ASAP.
It's odd that no-one else has noticed this yet, so my guess is that there's something wrong with your install also. Do Yabb SE and Coppermine both work 'standalone'? (just change the init.inc.php file to comment out the Yabbse bridge to test).
Yes, both work fine stand alone.
I have made a new YaBB SE bridge that includes a replacement database_error function.
WIth this, we should be able to see what the actual error is ;)
I have uploaded it to the 'devel' branch in CVS. It takes some time (a few hours I think) before the public CVS is synched with the development one. When that occurs, you should be able to get the file via the web access to CVS. It will be labelled as from 'Coppermine 1.3', but don't worry, the bridge files are compatible with 1.2.1.
I tried the new bridge and turned on debug mode so I could see whats happening. Now I get this:
QuoteNotice: Undefined variable: the_error in /home/tlveik/public_html/veik/cpg/bridge/yabbse.inc.php on line 95
Fatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query.
mySQL error: Table 'kueyh_cpg.yabbse_banned' doesn't exist
I have a table "cpg11d_banned" in database "kueyh_cpg". Is that the problem?
It's not important that I get the YabbSE bridge working. I'll be switching to SMF soon.
Tom
Nope, the problem is that you don't have a 'yabbse_banned' table :wink:
That is the table used by YaBB SE to keep track of who is banned or not.
Hmm.. do Coppermine and YaBB SE use the same database?
I think I've found a problem when coppermine and YaBB SE do NOT use the same DB.
tlveik, can you give this version a try please:-
http://www.haxed.co.uk/~jack/yabbse-bridge-tlveik.zip
Let me know how you get on.
Ta.[/url]
Coppermine and YabbSE are not using the same database. I could make them use the same database I suppose. Tried the new bridge file. Here is what happened: (I think this is correct :wink: )
Installed new bridge.
Typed my coppermine url in browser.
Got the login screen for yabbse.
Tried logging in using a coppermine user, rejected. (normal I think)
Logged in using my yabbse username and it took me to yabbse not coppermine.
Typed my coppermine url in browser.
Got this error:
QuoteFatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query.
mySQL error: Table 'kueyh_cpg.yabbse_members' doesn't exist
Tom
Ah. Now I see in the instructions:
QuoteIt is also recommended that you use the same database for your board and Coppermine.
Oops :roll:
