Title: switch off reloading of page everytime a new picture is displayed
Post by: arjen on January 26, 2005, 01:32:41 PM
Every time you will display a new picture, the total page is reloaded.

Upon the installed options it takes a long time and it doesnot looks very professional.

Is there an option to switch this off

thanks, @rjen www.foto-web.nl

It is expected behaviour of the displayimage page to load the html page the actual pic is embedded into to be displayed as well. This means of course that the content of the site is being loaded again, which shouldn't be a problem, as most of the page is being cashed. This behaviour is by design in coppermine - it's a matter of taste if you think this is unprofessional (although it's unprofessional in my opinion to have every pic open up a new pop-up, as many other web gallery apps do). However, this is by design an can not be changed easily - if you're not happy with this alltogether, then coppermine is not the application you've been looking for; you should then look for another app. However, maybe your surounding html page is just to heavy for this concept, maybe you could tweak it a bit. I suggest you post a link to your site...
