Title: Postnuke users not transfering
Post by: necro on February 02, 2005, 05:52:29 AM
Have a PM out to Cas, but I'm asking anyone for help at this point.  I've nearly finished this site w/ "map list" as the coppermine portion:
www.mapfinger2.com/pn  (username:temp pass:temppass)

Problem 1.  New registers in postnuke are not automatically copied to coppermine's database.  The "Update Coppermine users from Postnuke" button in admin works just fine, but new registers in pn don't transfer automatically.

Problem 2.  Coppermine won't display to anonymous visitors.  I can't figure out how to get coppermine to display for people not logged in.

Any help would be immensly appreciated.

one question per thread please, and make sure not to PM supporters unless they asked you to. Afaik this has been addressed in other postings on this board, did you check?

Yeah, but I did not find the exact answer to either problem.

Actually, the whole thing may be pointless since I may have to ditch postnuke altogether.  Apparently the only way to link to specific galleries is with a URL like this:

http://www.mapfinger2.com/pn/modules.php?op=modload&name=pnCPG&file=index&url=http://mapfinger2.com/cpg132/index_pn.php?parm=testuser2|1|0|0|0||http://www.mapfinger2.com/pn/|english||n|default|n|%26check=9247a359abf7a8b05ebe3fb478b7b41a

which, if anyone else tries to browse to, it throws them back to the main page.  Is there a work around for this?  Or should I start another thread for this question?

It would help if you read the docs that come along with pnCPG, check out changelog.txt for the various ways of calling Coppermine.
Just assume you have the latest version of pnCPG installed.
I have replied to your PM on how to tackle the other issue.
