Hello

I'm starting coppermine for the first time.

I'm getting the following error

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

when I go to my website  www.rybphotography.com   
i have set up a MySQL with my hosting company  wwwDreamhost.com

Can someone one help me with this.

You should ask your webhost for the correct connection string.  You should also report that error to them.  They may be able to help you.
