Title: announcements/advertisment on coppermine

Hi,

I have coppermine gallery installed, and it holds a lot of pictures.
I would like to make announcements on the site, so when somebody arrives to the site maybe a popup windows to open, and notify the user about new things, and presenting messages.

Is it possible with coppermine?

Popups are annoying. You can use the anycontent block to display news etc.

to display coppermine content on non-coppermine pages, there are several hacks available (all of them being available on the modifications/hacks board). Take a look at the CoppermineFetch mod, the RSS Feeds mod and the random image include mod.

How? Is it an additional thing, or it is built-in?

To display announcements, you would use the anycontent feature, which you can look up in the documentation (link at top of the page).

You can also add ads into your template.html.
