Title: Opening Page Question
Post by: billtcat on February 25, 2005, 06:07:37 PM
Is there a way to set it up to not show the
Random Files and Last Additions?

Thanks

Bill

Yes, read the manual.

Just look at the possibilities in your config screen. Same question is asked and answered in this thread: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15207.0

Yes, read the manual.

You know, that comes off as being smug.  What part of the manual?  Here are the sections which could be relevant:

Quote
# 2. Installation and setup

    * 2.1 How To Install The Script
    * 2.2 Getting Started
    * 2.4 Creating or upgrading your own themes

# 4. Configuration & Administration

    * 4.1 Categories, albums and files
    * 4.2 Admin mode & User mode
    * 4.3 The group control panel
    * 4.4 The category control panel
    * 4.5 The album manager
          o 4.5.1 Creating albums
          o 4.5.2 Renaming albums
          o 4.5.3 Changing the album order
          o 4.5.4 Deleting albums
    * 4.6 Modifying album/files
    * 4.8 Album properties
    * 4.10 The configuration page
          o 4.10.1 General settings
          o 4.10.2 Language, Themes & Charset settings
          o 4.10.3 Album list view
          o 4.10.8 User settings
          o 4.10.11 Miscellaneous settings

This application is supposed to be easy to use.  If I have to do a whole manual scan just to get started, maybe Coppermine isn't for me.

And you come off as ungrateful and lazy. Nibbler and the rest of the team puts in countless hours of development and support time. And it's too much trouble for you to use the Find function of the browser to find the word 'random' in the manual, or to search the forums.
