I had to re- CHMOD my edit file to 755 - for some reason, godaddy.com (my ost) keeps killing it
The answer is in your second post.
A search on these boards for 'godaddy.com' brings up a page full of threads that end with the problem being the host, godaddy.com.
Your best bet would be to find a decent host.
